We have installed the gear selector you had shipped to us. The gear shift indicator now lights up for the correct gear, but the 5088 fault code is still present. If this fault is cleared, it will return after a key cycle. The engine will still not start. At this point, we recommend replacement of the Mechatronics unit in the transmission.
